Lessons can be offered here in Brentford (on a grand piano), with prices as follows:

Beginner to Grade 6:

  • 30 min – £30
  • 60 min – £55

Grades 7 and 8 and Diploma/BMus

  • 30 min – £35
  • 60 min – £65

Students are advised that practice out of lesson time is very important, and having a piano (or keyboard at earlier levels) at their own home is almost always necessary to making good and consistent progress.

Hiroko has been teaching piano privately to children and adults for over 15 years. With 4 years’ experience as a musician in residence for schools, she is used to young children and gets on very well with students of any age and ability. She has taught hundreds of students to achieve Merits and Distinctions for ABRSM examinations from grades 1 to 8, all levels of music theory, and also many post-grade 8 performance diploma musicians and fellow performers.

Her background in education and performance means she knows exactly the sort of problems and challenges that need to be overcome, and she firmly believes that she can help anyone reach their desired level of piano playing ability.
